Skagit River Eagles (Class I - II)

Each winter, hundreds of Bald Eagles congregate in the Skagit River Preserve in Washington State. Sightings of these magnificent and threatened American Bald Eagles on our guided tours are numerous. These Lower Skagit river rafting float trips in Washington State are easy and calm which makes them ideal for the whole family. We offer exceptional river rafting tours that allow participants to see these magnificent birds in their natural habitat along with many other types of wildlife and vegetation. On our Skagit Bald Eagle river rafting trips, we can spot up to 200 bald eagles. You’ll float calmly and comfortably with other nature enthusiasts on the scenic Skagit River. Meet at Howard Miller Steelhead Park (address: 5110 Railroad Ave, Rockport, WA 98283).

Route #1: From Seattle, WA
I-5 north to Burlington
Highway 20 east to Rockport
Turn at Howard Miller Steelhead Park & Alfred Street (1/8 mile West of Hwy20/ Hwy 530 junction).

Route #2: From Seattle, WA.
I-5 north turn East at Arlington/Darrington exit #208
Follow Hwy 530 through Arlington, Darrington and onto Rockport
The Hwy 530 Park entrance is 100 feet North of the Skagit River bridge.
Look for Wildwater River Tours vehicle inside the park. If lost, call 253-740-4445.

Driving times:

From Seattle WA. approx. 2 hours.,
from Tacoma, WA. approx. 3 hours.

Meet at rendezvous.

Park cars, check in, sign release forms. Ride shuttle vehicle to put-in/launch site. Participate in Guide Safety Talk. Break into raft groups; meet your individual guide. Basic river rafting instruction. Raft river. Take-out, change into dry clothing.

  • Long underwear (1st layer)
  • Sweater and pants (2nd layer) - not cotton
  • Rain jacket & pants (3rd layer)
  • Warm hat
  • Gloves or mittens
  • Wool or fleece socks (2 pairs)
  • Rubber boots or plastic bags over shoes
  • Camera, binoculars or camcorder (in plastic bag)
  • Change of dry clothes (leave in car)
  • Lunch, snacks & beverages

When you make a reservation with Wildwater River Tours, we hold those raft seats for you on that trip date and time. We may have to turn away others from that particular trip date. If you decide to cancel, it is difficult for us to book someone else on that trip, especially if cancellations are made on short notice.

CANCELLATIONS WILL BE CHARGED AS FOLLOWS:

  • 7 or more days prior to tour departure for any confirmed reservation: $15 fee per person
  • 4-6 days prior to tour departure for any confirmed reservation: 50% refund
  • 72 hours or less prior to tour departure for any confirmed reservation: 0% refund

There are no exceptions for sickness, personal emergencies or No Shows!
