This company, it's guides and its equipment are top notch. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly they were great at what they do. We had a group of 12 people, the trip in total from start to end was around 4 hours. You get a good "dry run" prior to hitting the water so you know exactly what you are going to be doing. The trip was a 10/10 and we will be booking again next year A++++.

Wenatchee River Rafting: Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the current river flows for the Wenatchee?
We monitor the river conditions daily throughout the rafting season. You can view current flows and forecasts form the official government gauges below:
- Live Flow (Current CFS): USGS Wenatchee River at Peshastin
- 10-Day Forecast: NOAA Northwest River Forecast Center (PESW1)
2. How does the water level (CFS) affect the rafting experience?
The Wenatchee changes character significantly based on the "Cubic Feet per Second" (CFS) flow:
- High Water (12,000+ CFS): Peak snowmelt season (May/June). Expect powerful wave trains and exciting Class III+ whitewater. These flows are best for active people who are seeking big thrills.
- Moderate Water (4,000 – 10,000 CFS): The classic Wenatchee experience. Sunny eastern Washington skies, thrilling whitewater and splashy wave trains in rapids like Snowblind, Rock and Roll, and Granny’s.
- Lower Water (< 4,000 CFS): Late summer (July/August). The river becomes more technical and splashy, navigating through boulders and smaller rapids. This makes it perfect for families, first timers, and those who want a warmer, less intense river trip. At these flows we allow ages 8 and up for rafting.
3. What are the main rapids we will run?
Our trip takes you through the heart of the Wenatchee's best whitewater. You’ll navigate legendary Wenatchee rapids like Snowblind, Drunkards Drop, Boulder Bend, Granny’s, and Rock ‘n Roll. These are famous for being "big water" wave trains rather than tight technical drops, making them exciting while still accessible for first-time rafters. *We use three different launch locations depending on current river flows, so the specific rapids included can vary depending on river conditions.
4. How far is the Wenatchee River from Seattle?
The Wenatchee River is widely considered the top whitewater rafting destination near Seattle. Our meeting location in Cashmere/Leavenworth is a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Seattle via Highway 2 (Stevens Pass) or I-90 (Snoqualmie Pass) to Hwy-97 (Blewett Pass). Most of our guests join us for a day trip, though many stay to enjoy the Bavarian charm of Leavenworth.
5. Is this trip good for kids and first-timers?
Absolutely. The Wenatchee is a "pool-and-drop" river, meaning every rapid is followed by a calm stretch of water. We welcome adventurers ages 10 and up (and sometimes younger during low-water summer flows). With experienced guides and professional-grade whitewater equipment, our team handles the river so you can enjoy the experience.
6. How long is the Wenatchee River rafting trip?
Most trips on the Wenatchee cover about 9 miles of river and typically last 3-4 hours from launch to take-out depending on river flows and group pace.
7. When is the best time to raft the Wenatchee
The Wenatchee River rafting season typically runs from April through early August. For those seeking the "Big Wave" experience with maximum thrills, May and June are typically the peak months due to the spring snowmelt. If you are looking for a warmer, more family-friendly float, July and August offer more mellow water and plenty of sunshine.
