BREATHTAKING VIEW OF THE ENCHANTMENTS

Starting the trip off just below the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, it won't take long for you to find yourself peacefully taking in the beauty of Icicle Creek. While paddling down the river on your inflatable NRS SUP board, keep your eyes open for wildlife along the banks of the river and under your board swimming beneath you. This section of the river is known best for its breathtaking view of The Enchantments (a basin area of beautiful mountains and glaciers) in the distance. You can expect to be on the river for 2-2.5 hours of meandering moving water and currents before you find yourself at the take-out, Enchantment Park, in Leavenworth. Icicle Creek downriver stand-up paddling is a great option for all skill levels and ages eight and up.

OUR GUIDES

All guides have a minimum of CPR/First Aid Certifications and have completed a Swiftwater Rescue course. Don't worry, you will be getting plenty of help and attention with no more than a five-to-one guest to guide ratio.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Although SUP is fun and easy to learn, you're not out of the water just yet… literally! Be prepared to get wet on both the Icicle Creek and the lower Wenatchee River trips. The inflatable paddle boards are stable, but this sport requires balance, and that takes some time to get used to. Our guides hold a thorough pre-trip orientation addressing how to stand, how to paddle, what to do if you fall off, potential risks, and other important information.

What we provide (SUP)

Wildwater will provide all the river equipment you need, including:

  • River Specific Inflatable SUP board

Guest Testimonials

This is my third time using Wildwater River Guides and I continue to have great experiences each time. Spencer was our guide down the White Salmon and we're planning on booking a couple more trips and requesting him specifically. If you're new to rafting or looking to try a new guided tour, I highly recommend Spencer and the team over at Wildwater River Guides.
